According to a recent study, Americans suffer from a chronic lack of sleep. West Virginians, it appears, suffer the most, with 1 in 5 reporting that they did not get a single good night’s sleep in the month prior to the study. The national average was about 1 in 10. The survey also found that women generally slept worse than men, younger people worse than the elderly, and whites slept better than Latinos and blacks. More... Discuss

Further complicating the matter was the fact that it was the UN's 1947 Partition Plan that first led to the establishment of the State of Israel. How did Israel respond to Resolution 3379? More... The teachings of Luther, a German theologian, widely disseminated by the then-novel printing press, sparked the Protestant Reformation. Luther denied the authority of the priesthood to mediate between the individual and God and rejected the sacraments except as aids to faith. His works were condemned by the pope and banned by the Holy Roman Emperor, but the Reformation soon swept across Europe, setting the stage for a century of religious war. Why did Luther translate the Bible into German? More... Discuss
